Location
The 3-star Hotel Holiday in Praiano overlooks the sea that bathes the enchanting Amalfi Coast, offering its guests a breathtaking view, romantic sunrises and magnificently sunny days to brighten your vacation in the heart of one of the world's hottest vacation spots.
The views from the hotel rooms' balconies are as enchanting as the small fishing village of Praiano, the residence of the Amalfi Maritime Republic Dukes, just a stone's throw from the lively and beautiful Positano.
In this oasis of relax and tranquility, Hotel Holiday guests are surrounded by terraced citrus groves in the ideal location for those who love an easy trek down the paths and trails that lead to the sea and small coves.
Praiano has ancient origins. If fact, its first settlement, Pelagianum, dates back to Roman times. The Republic's Dukes' preferred summer residence, it has been embellished through time by the beautiful San Luca Church, where you can admire an amazing colored majolica tile pavement, various artworks and a seventeenth century statue of the saint.
The lower part of Praiano extends to Marina di Praia, along a dock you can reach on foot or by car that opens onto a beach carved in the rock under a captivating headland. Boats leave from here to tour the island of Capri, the Emerald grotto and the other wonders of the Amalfi Coast.
Hotel Holiday guests are also near magical Sorrento, the ceramics from the splendid Vietri sul Mare, the fishing village of Furore, the Vesuvius and Pompeii and Herculaneum archeological sites, Naples and its magnificent city center, Ischia, Capri and the Blue Grotto.
The Sounds of the Gods
THE SOUNDS OF THE GODS
"The Sounds of the Gods" is the event that offers concerts on the panoramic path that connects Agerola to Nocelle.
Concerts are open-air performed, on the famous scenic itinerary above 500m from Praiano.
The theme of the project is to unite the passion of music and love of the environment in a series of concerts of both classical and contemporary music, in such unforgettable places as the amazing peaks of Monti Lattari, the wonderful surroundings of the church of Santa Maria a Castro, and ancient stone ruins.
Each performance will begin with an excursion (yourself or with a trekking guide) by foot from Praiano, Agerola and Positano to reach the Sentiero degli Dei, a natural theatre suspended high above the Punta Campanella and the Isle of Capri. The performances will come to life in the morning hours: this will be a new and different way of hiking, in which one will be in intimate harmony with nature and music.
Admission to the concerts is completely free.
